Thanksgiving is like the kick off of the holidays, I don't know about you, but I am SO excited to celebrate the birth of Christ this year! Pie, family, turkey, Christmas trees, Gramo's special jello, cookies, Christmas trees, family traditions, decorating, pie, pie, pie, party's, CANDY, Christmas movies, Thanksgiving parade- those are just a few of my favorite things about Christmas.
Don't forget to share some things you are thankful for around the dinner table! Try to get everyone to name as many things they are thankful for as their age. Example-Elisabeth is eight, she has to share 8 things she is thankful for. Ha ha this could get interesting with grandparents. ;)
Write a prayer to God thanking Him. We are always asking God, and even when he answers out prayers, sometimes we are to busy to even thank Him. Don't just do it on Thanksgiving though, make it a daily habit. I'm working on it. x)
I found this on pinterest and thought it was super cute. This family decorates a plain table cloth every thanksgiving. You can write down things you are thankful for, then use it for the big feast!
Don't forget to help out in the kitchen! Take on a few recipes yourself this year. Trust me- your mom will love you for it.
