This past fall my sister Elisabeth and I were able to observe the transformation of caterpillars to butterflies. Fortunately, we were able to watch one of the butterflies emerge from its cocoon! Below are photos of the butterfly as it is breaking free from its cocoon.
We could here a soft cracking sound and the cocoon started shaking!
Out pops part of the butterfly!
And it's out! How cute.
God can create anything into a beautiful masterpiece. How fun is it for a butterfly to transform from an ugly old caterpillar (some are cute, but these were disgusting!) and have a new beginning as a beautiful butterfly.
