Babysitting some kids and don't know what to do? Making homemade play dough is a great afternoon filler that will keep those kids busy!
You Will Need...
- 2 Cups Flour
- 1 Cup Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Cooking Oil
- 1/2-1 Cup Cold Water
- Food Coloring
How to make it....
- Combine flour and salt in bowl
- Add water, food coloring, and oil. Mix ingredients until combined.
- Knead well.
- If it's too wet, add flour. If its to dry, add water.
Tips and Warnings...
- I used 3/4 cup salt so it wouldn't be so grainy.
- Make sure to add the food coloring before you knead it.
- If you want more than one color, split the ingredients in half and put in two different bowls.
- Be careful with food coloring... It would be a good idea if the adult put in the coloring... :)
- It will be messy, so make sure they have on old clothes and are either outside, or on hard floors.
- This is edible, so don't freak when they put it in their mouths. It just tastes BAD (really salty) and will train them not to eat play dough. You should have seen the kids faces when they ate it!! Made my day :)
The kids had allot of fun making this, and so did I! Enjoy:)
