James Town: Day Eight

Elisabeth, my sister, is the biggest flip floppin sleeper ever! She is always sitting up and moving in her sleep. It's kind of funny.

Traffic has been horrendous here. The only traffic jams in Viroqua are from a tractor or a slow Amish buggy. We've been siting in traffic all morning every morning.

Starved from the traffic jam, which is a bad excuse, we had a lovely picnic of hot dogs. :)

This morning we were able to visit a lovely reenactment of James Town! The museum and movie was prime. Outside in the bay there were ships set up the way they would really look back in 1607. Sleeping quarters were super cramped-- I wouldn't last a day!

Potomac Indians were surrounding James Town. Pocahontas was a Potomac. They were incredibly creative!

The village and church was super cool. Surprisingly, the copies of the old town, didn't seem so awful! Since my Dad is pastor, he got a photo in the pulpit of the church!

Ten years ago, my family was able to venture to Williamsburg for a vacation. When I was 6, Aaron, 8, was overtaken by eagles. He saw his first wild eagle, and nest, in James town! We found the nest to bring back old memories.

After visiting James town, us Coon's headed to Williamsburg. As the evening breeze blew off the bay, we enjoyed our time visiting little shops in the old  establishment. Elisabeth bought an adorable hat.

We decided to check out the candlelight concert, which was in the same church building George Washington attended. Mom and I couldn't stop making jokes and laughing. Don't get me wrong, the service was lovely. But it was fun to sit in a church with out being the PK. ;)

Heading back to our hotel, there was absolutely no traffic. :)
