Williamsburg: Day Nine

Traffic.
Now that, is something I highly dislike. Sitting behind cars for over 6 hours, petite ole' Viroqua sounds mighty fine.

Finally arriving in Williamsburg, us Coon's spent quite a bit of time in a charming book store.

Having free wifi, I took advantage of the opportunity to snapchat some of my favorite people while they were at church. [ rebel status yo ]
Jk

For some reason, I had gotten to this point where I was just not interested in anything. Skipping every song on my iPod, bored of a brand new magazine, not even wanting to do devotions, and I didn't even read the information at the museums! After forcing myself to abandon that mindset, I spent time in Acts-- I'm so intrigued when I see the lives of Paul and the disciples. Spending time with God puts all things into perspective <3
Something I think is neato...

The people in charge were super jealous that the citizens were moving their attention to Jesus and not them. So they took Paul and Barnabas aside and were all like, "Yo, y'all better stop talking about Jesus, your given us a bad rep!" And Paul and Barnabas responded like, "Heck no man, we stand for Jesus! We only want to do what he tells us!"
And then.. The following.
Acts 5:33-41
When they heard this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them. But a Pharisee in the council named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in honor by all the people, stood up and gave orders to put the men outside for a little while. And he said to them, “Men of Israel, take care what you are about to do with these men. For before these days Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing. After him Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the census and drew away some of the people after him. He too perished, and all who followed him were scattered. So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” So they took his advice, and when they had called in the apostles, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name.

So they said that if it were of God it would last. If it were of man, eventually, the believers would disperse and give up. It's more then 2,000 years later and followers of Jesus still exists and numbers growing! That's pretty amazing. :) also. Paul and Barnabas were BEATEN. They were beat up! And they went away praising The Lord! Wow.

Right now it's 10 Wisconsin time and 11 Pennsylvania time and we are trying to figure out a hotel. We so aren't making it to Indy sooo alternate plan! Worst comes to worst, we could sleep under a bridge with some homeless people. Why not? Yolo!
Okay I have a lame sense of humor. I think that going into a random church in a clown suit would be hilarious. You have to be a PK to understand that one though.
