As my family was planing our summer vacation, I was thinking about the long hours we would be spending in the car. I came up with this idea for a traveling chalkboard, for my little sister!
You Need...
- Chalk board paint
- Painters tape
- Clipboard
- Scrapbook paper (optional)
- Mod Podge (optional)
First, tape off the part you do NOT want to be painted with chalk board paint. I taped mine off to be square so it could be a perfect size for a tic-tac-toe board.
Next, spray a coat of chalk board paint on; watch out for your fingers! Let dry and spray again.
Personally, I did not like the space between the painted part and the clip part. I cut a piece of scrapbook paper to size and then mod podged it on. Careful not to get it on the painted part. It creates an awkward shine. Whether you do add the paper or not is up to you. :)
There ya go! A simple chalkboard clipboard.
