Happy Thanksgiving! :)
Around the holidays, I am always shocked by how many people buy their pie crusts.. It is so simple to make homemade ones! My recipe is NOT healthy.. at all.. When I was five years old I was put in charge of making the family pie crust around Christmas and Thanksgiving and I am still doing it to this day.

Same recipe I used when I was five years old.

Same recipe I used when I was five years old.
You need..
2 cups flour
1 Teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shortening
4 tablespoons water
large bowl
knife
Mix salt and flour together.
Add in shortening.
Add in 4 tablespoons of water and mix it up.
Separate into 2 balls.
One batch will work for a bottom and top of a pie. So if you are making a pumpkin pie or Nestle Toll House pie, you can freeze the other ball and be prepared for the next time you make a pie! :)
A little embarrassed of this simple post, but hopefully it will help out somebody. :)
