Photography: Elisabeth // 4th Grade

Elisabeth, who is my exquisite younger sister,  just begun her fourth grade year. As Elisabeth has grown up, her pleasant and exhilarating personality shines more than ever. When she let me take her 10 year / fourth grade photos, I was thrilled!

Learning about the person you're taking photos of is the key. What do they love? Obviously, my little sister is in LOVE with dance.

Perfecting every move is her goal. She loves to show me her dances.

Reflections are my favorite.

Stunning sister.

Genuine smiles are sometimes difficult to capture. What I do is talk and talk and ask my 'subject' not to smile. Giggles and laughs are my result. ;) I personally struggle with giving a genuine smile for photos.. Not Elisabeth! :)

Close ups can be extremely complementary.

Every photo shoot needs a silly picture, right?

Keeping it interesting by adding props.

Elisabeth loved playing with her balloons!

Playful.

Joyful, genuine expressions are top notch.

As I said, adding props keeps a long tiring photo shoot interesting and enjoyable.

Flawless.

Take advantage of your surroundings. This pile of rotting leaves added allot to this photo. Keeps the focus on the beauty of my sister. ;)

Be humorous. Loosen up. Laugh a little.

That would be my dazzling sister!

Splendid smile.

Creatively adding the year into a photo is great; when you look back there won't be any of those guessing games of 'when you took the photo'.

My sister has matured so much! I love Elisabeth like crazy, it is fun to watch her grow :)  Enjoy every day of your life. Before you know it everyone you know will be using walkers, so enjoy the loved ones you have in your life. ;)
